American mahjong set Costco — what to know
People search for an American mahjong set Costco deal every holiday season. The honest answer: stock varies by warehouse, online region, and season. We do not invent Costco prices or claim a set is “always” there.
What’s usually true
- Some warehouses and Costco.com regions occasionally carry a mahjong / Mah Jongg-style set (often a soft-case complete kit).
- Assortment is not national and not permanent — a TikTok find in one city may not exist in yours.
- When a set appears, check tile count (American play usually wants ~166 with jokers), whether racks are included, and tile size if you already own racks.
Our catalog status (scrape 2026-10-30): We currently have no Costco-sourced items in sets.json. None of our 25 seeded listings come from Costco, so we cannot show a Costco price here without inventing one — which we won’t do.
If you’re in a warehouse
- Search the app or ask for “mahjong” / “mah jongg” — naming varies.
- Open the box if allowed: confirm jokers, blanks, and rack length.
- Compare tile height to any racks you already own with our size checker.
Reliable alternatives in our catalog
While we wait for a verified Costco SKU, budget American kits from our scrape start around the low end of the catalog — see best American mahjong sets by budget or filter the catalog for complete sets under $80.
Examples (Amazon-sourced prices as of 2026-10-30):
- LEMY 166-tile soft bag set — $39.99
- C&H Solutions complete set — $62.99
- C&H “Coffee” PU leather set — $79.99
We’ll update when we have data
If we later scrape a public Costco.com listing with a clear American-style set, it will appear in the catalog with source = Costco and a scrape date. Until then, treat Costco as “check locally” and use the catalog for priced alternatives.
